Start a Vending Route Part Time

Are you looking for a business that you can run in your spare time? How about something that can make you and your family a few extra dollars a month to help with the bills? Well, I have just the ticket – perhaps a vending machine business is just what you’re looking for. Vending is one of the few businesses that just about anyone can do. You don’t need a college degree, a lot of money, specialized skills, or expensive equipment. In fact, a small vending route would be an excellent well for a teenager or college student to make some extra money.

I need to warn you that although anyone can start a vending business, most people who do get started end up failing in this business. This isn’t because vending is a bad business, but rather the fact that most people are unprepared for how difficult vending is. It’s funny, but people realize that opening a restaurant or a small retail store is hard, but they think that vending is somehow outside the laws of small business dynamics. Although a vending route is easy to start, just starting alone isn’t enough to guarantee success, there’s a lot more to it than that. With some cheap used vending machines, you can get a pretty quick feel for the business and draw your own conclusions about whether it’s a good option for you.

The main thing to keep in mind is that getting and keeping excellent locations is the hardest part of this business, it’s never ending. Most people fail to anticipate how much time and energy it takes to establish a route. Despite what you may read elsewhere, it’s not as simple as buying the machines and locating them, vending is an ongoing constant process of expanding, relocating and servicing. So, although vending is easy to get into, there are no guarantees of success. Only the people that are willing to work hard and set realistic goals will be successful in vending.
