Accessorize With Pink Rugs

Using pink rugs in your decoration scheme is a great way to add some fun color to your room, whether it is to offset a neutral color scheme or contrast against another strong color. Pink is also of course the color of choice for little girls everywhere and rugs are great items for accessorizing children’s bedrooms.

There are many different shades of pink to choose from, ranging from the palest baby pink to shocking neon shades and lots in-between. Pink can be either a cool or a warm color depending on the shade you choose so be careful that your selection enhances the feel of the room that you put it in.

Of course you do not have to go with a solid color pink rug. There are also lots of different designs available that use pink either as the main color or as an accent color.

Rugs come in several different fabrics so you can choose what will best suit your budget and personal needs. Wool rugs are generally considered to be the best quality and feel great underfoot but they are one of the most expensive types of rug out there, although they do hold their value well. Synthetic rugs often emulate the look of wool but they are much cheaper and also very hard wearing. This makes them great for use in areas where you will be walking a lot or there may be spills. You can also buy rugs made from cotton or a number of other materials.

Pink and white look great together, so if you’ve just finished painting a room white, why not accessorize with some pink rugs? The intense color of the pink really helps to set off clean white walls and stops the room from looking too boring. Pink also works well with blue, green and a variety of other colors depending on the look you are going for.
