3 common weight loss mistakes

There are many ways to lose weight fast, but few of these constitute a guide on how to lose weight healthy.  Losing weight has many impacts on other functions of the body.  You want to improve these other functions as you lose weight.  Here a few areas of life you need to keep in check as you lose weight.

Hunger
When you are hungry your body will slow down its metabolism to try and balance the reduction in caloric intake.  Also, people who are hungry are suspected to have lower memory and logical skills, emotional imbalances, and a lower immune system.  A great way to stay full while trying to reduce your calorie intake is too eat foods that take more energy to burn then they provide by eating.  Many fruits and vegetables are included in this list like celery, carrots, lettuce, apples, oranges, and mangos.

Over Exercise
People who decide they need to lose weight now will often go on an exercise binge.  If your body hasn’t been training for this level of exercise there can be some nasty side effects.  The initial problems you will see are extreme muscle aches, joint pain, and in extreme cases heart conditions from too much time at an elevated heart rate.  Many of these issues are compounded from a lower nutritional intake leaving key vitamins, acids, sometimes just water causing the body to react poorly to the increased exercise level.  Healthy weight loss requires both moderate exercise and moderate food reduction.

Diet Pills
Some of the prescription diet pills are known to have negative impacts on the digestive system.  The real problem is the over the counter and herbal diet pills haven’t had adequate research performed on them to know the negative side effects.  Generally there is a cause and effect with any medication.  The pill is changing the chemistry of the digestive or energy systems in the body.  While this change may impact how much weight you lose nobody knows what impacts it is having on the rest of your body. It is advisable to learn how to lose weight without pills.

The main point to remember is that the body is designed to function in a certain way.  When we go to extreme measures to alter our physical state the body generally perceives the change as a threat.  It is OK to push yourself to new heights, but healthy weight loss requires that you change these habits slowly over the course of months or even years.
